The Tioga County Conservation District will be hosting a  PAOneStop farm mapping workshop on April 1, 2015 from 9am to 3pm. This event is Free and training will be provided by Penn State Extension. This workshop will help farmers create complete mapping of their farm using this simple online tool. Completed maps can be directly used for Manure Management Plans or used to fulfill PA State E&S plan requirements. For more details and to register call Carolyn at 570-724-1801 ext 120

TICKETS ARE $22. AT THIS DINNER, AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED TO VOLUNTEERS FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO BOY SCOUT TROOPS FOR YOUTH IN GRADES 6-12; TO CUB SCOUT PACKS FOR YOUTH IN GRADES 1-5; TO VENTURERS  WHO LEAD CREWS OF YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN AGES 14-20; AND TO POSTS FOR THEIR WORK IN 2014. AMONG THOSE AWARDS WILL BE THE COMMISSIONER AND TRAILBLAZER AWARDS, AND THE CUB SCOUT, SCOUTMASTER AND VENTURING ADVISOR OF THE YEAR AWARDS.

THE KATIE BUGS, A RELAY FOR LIFE OF TIOGA COUNTY TEAM, IS HOLDING A YARD SALE FROM 10 A.M. TO 4 P.M. ON FRIDAY, APRIL 17, AND FROM 10 A.M. TO 3 P.M. ON SATURDAY, APRIL 18, AT 28½ FISCHLER STREET IN WELLSBORO. AMONG THE ITEMS THAT WILL BE FOR SALE WILL BE A ROUTER TABLE AND HARDWOOD FLOORING. ALL MONEY MADE AT THE YARD SALE WILL BE DONATED TO THE RELAY FOR LIFE OF TIOGA COUNTY.

MOUNTAINEER WOMEN’S BASKETBALL WILL HOST THE 2ND ANNUAL COLOR ME SPRING 5K ON SATURDAY, APRIL 18 AT SHAUTE FIELD ON THE CAMPUS OF MANSFIELD UNIVERSITY. REGISTRATION BEGINS AT 10 A.M. WITH THE RACE START AT 11 A.M.  COLOR ME SPRING IS A 5K RUN FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY THAT TAKES PLACE THROUGHOUT THE SCENIC MANSFIELD CAMPUS AND COMMUNITY. THROUGHOUT THE RACE, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE DUSTED WITH COLORFUL CORNSTARCH THROWN BY MEMBERS OF THE MU WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM. COLOR ME SPRING WHITE T-SHIRTS WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE WHO REGISTER, AND WILL ALSO BE FOR SALE TO THOSE WHO ARE CHEERING ON THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

AND A BAG SALE ON SATURDAY, APRIL 25, FROM 9 A.M. THE DEANE CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS AT 104 MAIN STREET IN WELLSBORO IS OFFERING A LIMITED NUMBER OF DISCOUNTED TICKET PACKAGES FOR THE HISTORY COMES ALIVE SERIES THAT BEGINS THIS SPRING AND ENDS THIS FALL.   THE FIRST WILL BE TUESDAY, MAY 12 AT 7 P.M..
