UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF GARY TYSON, TIADAGHTON AUDUBON SOCIETY FIELD TRIP COORDINATOR, THE SATURDAY MORNING BIRDING WALKS AT HILLS CREEK STATE PARK, NEAR WELLSBORO, WILL CONTINUE ON SATURDAYS, MAY 7, 14, 21 AND 28. THE MAY BIRD WALKS WILL START AT 8 A.M., 30 MINUTES EARLIER THAN THE APRIL WALKS. THE BIRD WALKS IN MAY ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. NO PRIOR NOTIFICATION IS REQUIRED. ANYONE CAN PARTICIPATE, INCLUDING BIRDERS OF ALL LEVELS, FIRST TIMERS TO THE EXPERIENCED. TRAILS ARE EASY AND RELATIVELY LEVEL, BUT STURDY WALKING SHOES ARE ADVISABLE. THOSE WHO PLAN TO GO ON A BIRDING WALK ARE ASKED TO MEET AT THE PARK OFFICE A LITTLE BEFORE 8 A.M. THE GALETON TOWN-WIDE YARD SALE IS BEING HELD ALL DAY LONG ON SATURDAY, MAY 28 OF MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE MAY 28 EVENT, CORNER SELF STORAGE AT 1906 ROUTE 6 IN GAINES TOWNSHIP IS HOSTING ITS ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE AND GARAGE SALES DAY. THE STORAGE FACILITY IS LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF ROUTES 6 AND 349 IN DOWNTOWN GAINES, WHICH IS NEAR GALETON. “OVER 30 OF OUR STORAGE RENTERS WILL HAVE TABLES SET UP AND BE SELLING ITEMS BETWEEN 8 A.M. HOSTING THE EVENT IS TEAM KATIEBUGS, A RELAY FOR LIFE OF TIOGA COUNTY TEAM.
